I am a qualified personal property appraiser, and all appraisal reports are compliant with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) of The Appraisal Foundation and the International Society of Appraisers (ISA). A fully illustrated and researched appraisal report includes cataloguing details, condition report, provenance and the value of each item. Appraisal reports are provided for the following purposes: 

  • Insurance

  • Charitable gift donation

  • Canadian Cultural Property Export Review Board (CCPERB)

  • Division of Assets

  • Potential Sale

“As part of a larger project we proposed the relocation of a large wall-mounted sculpture from its existing location to a new facility to be constructed some 15km away. As the sculpture is part of a government art collection and given the complexity of the removal, transport, restoration and reinstallation we were instructed to retain the services of an ISA Certified Appraiser to carry out an appraisal for insurance purposes. After contacting several appraisers and receipt of proposals we retained Leah Carey who delivered a comprehensive report and appraisal on a very tight schedule.”
